Pitch the Future is Groundswell Startups’ high-tech pitch competition and the capstone of the Space Coast Initiative (SCI).

Built for pre-revenue or early-revenue stage startups across the Space Coast and Florida who are developing scalable solutions in fast-growing markets like advanced technology, AI, hardware, space, defense, and other emerging industries. More than a demo day, Pitch the Future is a curated stage for companies ready to move from prototype to investment readiness, connecting startups with capital, strategic partners, and long-term ecosystem support.

Winners will receive a cash prize of $10,000, with a $5,000 runner-up award, plus in-kind donations from our sponsors and partners and ongoing support from the Groundswell ecosystem.

Pitch the Future completes the annual Space Coast Initiative innovation pipeline:

  • SCI Product Futures Summit - Insight and ecosystem alignment

  • SCI Hackathon - Talent and rapid execution

  • Pitch the Future - Capital access and investment readiness

Together, these programs create a structured pathway from idea to investable company, strengthening the Space Coast and Florida’s high-tech startup ecosystem along the way.

Who Should Apply

We’re seeking early-stage startups that:

  • Are building in large, fast-growing markets

  • Use innovative or technology-enabled solutions

  • Demonstrate traction with customers, pilots, or partners

  • Have a capable, coachable team (or are actively building one)

  • Are developing clear revenue goals for 2026 - 2028

Pre-revenue companies are encouraged to apply.

What to submit.

Pitch the Future is open to early-stage, technology-driven startups across Florida, with priority given to companies rooted in Brevard County to support the continued growth of the Space Coast innovation economy.
