When Ryan Bailey first connected with Groundswell, it wasn't the established hub it is today, it was coffee shop conversations and bar meetups, founders just starting to find each other.

What he didn’t expect was just how much this community would shape him, challenge him, and eventually help spark Myelai.

Back then, Ryan and his team were just a group of engineers who, as he put it, had "no management, no understanding of how to operate a business." But people in the community invested in him, helping him understand how to navigate go-to-market, how to build something people want, and how the startup community actually works. "It's such a cultural difference being inside of Groundswell versus anywhere else on the Space Coast," he said. And it was that difference that kept him here.

Myelai didn't come from a single lightning-bolt moment. It was the product of years of problem-solving, curiosity, and realizing the future of business needed to move faster and think smarter. Ryan and his cofounders built Dendron, the living intelligence layer for B2B implementation. It systematically captures how work actually flows through organizations: the human interfaces, the technical systems, the bottlenecks nobody documents. That intelligence doesn't sit static on a shelf; it updates continuously and compounds across every engagement. As he explained, "Our tool doesn't just do the work. It teaches people why they're doing what they're doing."

But behind the tech is a bigger mission: accelerating the Space Coast. "I knew back in 2015 that understanding foundational technologies… would allow us to build the future," Ryan said. And now, as Myelai helps companies across healthcare, financial services, transportation, logistics, and intelligence sectors cut sales to implementation cycles by up to 80%, that future is happening here, while contributing to the diversification the Space Coast needs beyond aerospace and defense.

What drives him today goes beyond Myelai; it's about giving back. "Believing in something greater than yourself… that's truly what it's about," he said.

And honestly, that's what makes Ryan such a great example of the founders thriving at Groundswell: driven, generous, and determined to build something that lifts the entire community.
