We are excited to welcome Tim Balz to the Groundswell Startups Board of Directors.

A mechanical engineer, entrepreneur, and innovator, Tim is the founder and CEO of Kalogon, a company developing intelligent seating technology that helps prevent pressure injuries for wheelchair users.

From building the award-winning Intel Connected Wheelchair and working at SpaceX to growing Kalogon from a home-based startup into a company with a $50 million production facility, Tim embodies the entrepreneurial spirit that Groundswell Startups strives to foster.

Having grown Kalogon within the Groundswell community, Tim has consistently demonstrated a commitment to giving back and supporting fellow founders. We are thrilled to have his leadership, experience, and vision helping guide the next chapter of Groundswell.
